Create bookings, return trips, and continuing trips

Create a trip in the Driver App, check its price, add named passengers, and prepare a separate return or continuing booking.

Use this guide when your role allows you to create bookings in the Driver App.

Availability: This guide describes the Driver App preview documented on September 19, 2026. These changes have not yet been released through the App Store or Google Play. Your installed version and company permissions determine which controls are available.

Create and review a booking

  1. Open New Booking. Select the main passenger and, when different, the booker. Check the account and service selections.
  2. Add any other named passengers. Set a passenger count large enough to include everyone traveling, including the main passenger. The same person cannot be added twice.
  3. Choose a pickup date and time, or explicitly choose ASAP for an immediate request. Check the route, stop order, vehicle requirements, and flight information.
  4. Review the current quote. After changing the route, time, passengers, or other pricing inputs, wait for updated pricing before saving.
  5. Review the complete booking. On iPhone, use the Save menu. On Android, use Create Booking, or one of the follow-on actions below.

Saving, confirming a pending booking, and assigning its driver are separate steps. Follow the confirmation or assignment controls offered for your role. An ASAP request still needs the appropriate confirmation and assignment; choosing ASAP does not guarantee an immediate driver.

For selecting or creating people, see Passengers and contact import.

Save and book a return trip

Choose Save and Book Return Trip on iPhone or Save and book return trip on Android. The app saves the current booking, then prepares another draft with the entire stop order reversed.

For example, a trip from an office through a hotel to an airport becomes an airport-to-hotel-to-office draft. Confirm that this is the route the passenger actually wants.

Before saving the return:

  • Confirm a new pickup date and time, or explicitly select ASAP.
  • Review every stop and enter new instructions and flight details where needed.
  • Check the passenger, booker, account, service, and payment selections retained from the first trip.
  • Obtain a fresh quote and review the final price.

The second trip is not booked until you save it. Canceling its draft leaves the first booking saved.

Save and book a continuing trip

Choose Save and Book Continuing Trip on iPhone or Save and book continuing trip on Android. After saving the current booking, the app opens a new draft with both pickup and drop-off blank.

A continuing trip might start after the passenger flies to another city. An office-to-airport trip therefore does not assume that the next pickup is at that same airport. Enter the actual new pickup and destination, confirm its date and time, and obtain a new quote.

Passenger, booker, account, service, and payment choices remain available. Old flights, trip notes, assignment, and pricing do not carry forward. Review each choice for the new journey before saving.

Return and continuing trips are separate bookings. Check both booking references with dispatch; the save action does not create a single combined itinerary.

Hourly and As Directed trips

For an hourly trip, choose Hourly and review its duration. On Android, the selected hours affect both the quote and the booking. As Directed lets you create an hourly trip with a pickup and a destination decided during the journey. Turn it off to enter a planned route again.

On iPhone, an hourly trip requires a selected pickup. Empty optional stops may be left out, but an address you have started typing must be selected from the results or cleared. Complete or remove any partial stop with instructions or flight details before continuing.

For a route with intermediate stops, review the final destination as well as the pickup. The quote follows the complete stop order.

Editing or recovering a save

On Android, authorized users can edit an existing booking from its details. Review changed fields and the current price before saving. The available controls depend on the booking’s status and your permissions.

If the app reports a definite validation error, correct the highlighted information. If it cannot tell whether a save succeeded, check the booking list and confirm the result with dispatch before starting another submission. Do not recreate the same trip simply because a response was interrupted.

If a return or continuing action fails before the original is saved, the original form stays available for correction. If the original was saved, work from that booking and its reference before starting another trip.
