Open Zones → Explorer from the Studio sidebar. Zones represent geography that pricing and coverage logic can reference.
Working model
- A zone should have a clear operational purpose and recognizable name.
- Reference geography should be reviewed at edges, airports, and other boundary-sensitive locations.
- Composite geography should be checked for the underlying areas it includes.
- Zone Explorer supports the current reference/composite workflow and CSV or TSV import/export. It does not currently provide a verified custom-polygon drawing workflow.
- A zone does not set a price by itself; a rate rule must reference it.
Zone Explorer is intended for tablet or desktop use. After changing supported zone configuration, check locations clearly inside, clearly outside, and close to a boundary, then inspect the currently active result in Quote Calculator or Rules Console.
