Open Pricing → Rate Plans and choose the plan you want to review. Its Base Fares, Fees & Surcharges, and Cancellation tabs organize the main pricing rules. Pricing → Settings holds shared settings such as rate elements, vehicle multipliers, and holidays.

A plan’s active toggle and active window determine its Live, Scheduled, Expired, or Inactive state. Tools → Rules Console brings together Base fares, Fee rules, and Plans with Active/Paused controls. Check both the plan and the individual rule when a rate does not apply.
Add or edit a zone rate
- In the plan’s Base Fares tab, find Zone Based Rates and select List.
- Choose Add zone rate. To edit an existing flat fare, select its name or edit button. Both actions open the same side panel.
- Enter Rate Name and, optionally, Description.
- Under Where it applies, choose the zone scope and zones. See Understand zones in Studio for the four scope options.
- Choose Flat fare, Per-mile, or Hourly under Rate type. Include the relevant vehicles and enter their prices. Per-mile rates can include a base fee and minimum fare; hourly rates can include minimum hours and a minimum fare.
- Expand Conditions for days, times, dates, or a vehicle restriction. Expand Rate settings for priority and whether discounts are allowed.
- Review the Active checkbox and choose Save rate. An active rate can affect matching trips when its plan is live; there is no separate Publish step.
Each saved flat fare has its own row, including variations for the same route. A dash in a vehicle column means that vehicle is not priced by that rate. In the editor, Shared means an existing vehicle entry uses the saved base rate; uncheck the vehicle to remove it from that rate.
Add a variation
Open an existing zone rate and choose Add a variation for a night, weekend, or vehicle-specific rate. Change its name and conditions, prices, or priority, then choose Save rate. The variation is a separate rate; saving it does not rewrite the original.
If a variation overlaps its source, follow the priority guidance shown in the panel. Higher priority wins; at equal priority, the more specific rate wins. Changing only the price does not make an otherwise identical variation take precedence.
After saving, use Quote Calculator with representative trips to check the result.
